Tell me A-bit about yourself?

I’m a young Australian Shoe designer with a passion for men’s shoes in particular loafers and boat shoes. I am passionate about fashion and will be releasing new additions the line including belts and other surprise items.

FÅNE – Established in 2011, covers a range of men’s high end fashion loafers and smart shoes. The unique style offers comfort, durability and reliability fit for any occasion. A complimentary piece to any attire - formal, casual, beach & boating, it’s hard to say No!

FÅNE‘s design appeals to those with an eye for fashion. Set the trend and step into a pair of FÅNE’s.

Our range of loafers are designed for the trendy and chic, without putting a dent in the wallet. Our price positioning is affordable to our target market, with style and quality second to none.

Once you step into a pair of FÅNE’s you won’t be able to leave home without them! Start the day in a pair of FÅNE’s and be sure they will see you well into the night.

I also note that I am a project manager, in charge or multi-residential developments around the eastern suburbs of Sydney, Australia.

What Shoe do you describe as iconic?

The Penny Loafer – Also know as The “Flap” to Fane Footwear. This is a classic loafer which has been around for years and I believe it will always see the light of day. This is a shoe that will be around till the end of time.

If you had a wear a1 shoe everyday for a month what and who would it be by?

My Rope (Nubuck leather) Loafer in Stonewash. This the most comfortable shoe presently in my collection, which is versatile with all colours and outfits. This can be worn with jeans, shorts, shirts, smart or casual and compliments any outfit.

The nubuck leather is soft and breathable, allowing for long hours of wear without sweating or restricting the feet.


Where do you get your inspiration from?

I source my inspiration from the current trends in Australia and globally, namely Europe. I love the European lifestyle, culture and fashion. It's second to none. I could definitely see myself living in Europe one day. Television, music videos, magazines and internet blogs drive my influence also. Sending out images of trends and guaging people's response is a solid means of driving my designs. This points me in the right direction with new styles.




What's more important to you Fashion or Style?

Style – Fashion are the trends of today, but the way you put your outfit together and wear it is style. Style is an attitude!


Where do you see Fane Footwear in 5 years?
Hopefully globally, in all continents of the world with shops available to all those with a keen eye for fashion.
