Alexander Wang SS14
With Wang only showing last night during NYFW we've seen bloggers and all fashionsita a-like go a little barmy for the new SS14 collection.
The collection really says fun with more structure coming through in frill crops and skirts, but the real star of the show could be argued to be the Alexander Wang laser cut logo pieces that came cut out of Leather in a beautiful black Trench coat to leather pleat skirts and gloves to the parental advisory sheer panel cocoon shaped crop.
We Love it and could be one of the best collections this season along with Prabal Gurung.

Cushnie et Ochs SS14
Cushnie et Ochs by designers Carly Cushnie and Michelle Ochs make a great team and even the final walkout in contrasting looks was nothing but cute. The collection was feminine, strong and very sensual with side cutout, plunging necklines and sheer fabrics in well nearly, well, everything from leather two pieces, silk day dresses to all in ones.
Who needs a power suit....
Helmut Lang SS14
VPL SS14
Designer Victoria Bartlett didn't stray too far from home and why should she, active wear has always been a something Bartlett understood. The new SS14 collection took us to back the gym with headbands, earphones and all.
The great use of colour and technical fabrics that repel water just reinforced VPL as no longer a brand pulling on sports influences but an active wear brand for real.

Pierre Balmain SS14
The house of Pierre Balmain is sticking to its gun's, literally for spring 2014 and hope you are too. The brand has taken inspiration from Punk for the new SS14 collection, featuring all that you'd expect from leather bikers to leather skin's with distressed tees and denim.
Rock the......

Clean, clean , clean with nothing more than needed is all we can say when we see Helmut Lang's SS14 collection.
Helmut Lang with Nicole and Michael Colovos, reiterated the minimalist signatures we know of Lang with a real 90's nostalgia.
The pink looks are what we love most about the collection and it's cheeky nature with the women boxer look.
Just have a look

Sally Lapointe SS14
Sally LaPointe watched a bunch of flowers die. Keeping them in the deli cellophane they arrived in, she made a mood board out of her bouquets, never watered them, and photographed them daily until they withered and dried. The photos became the prints, and instead of the collection being about decay, it became about coming back to life. "It's positive," insisted LaPointe and here is the designer's response.
Jenni Kayne SS14
Jenni Kayne was inspired by a mix of nautical and military elements for Spring 2014 says style.com
The collection featured the ever popular skort, paired with matching print blazers.
What we really like is just how clean the lines are and the use of shades like sunny yellows and crisp cocaine whites. Kayne extended blazers this time round and we want one.

Prabal Gurung SS14
Prabal Gurung for SS14 kept a real balance between regal and flamboyant so there is something here for you whether you're a First Lady or Lady Gaga. For Spring/Summer Gurung used Marilyn Monroe as his design muse. "It's a celebration of the elegant woman; she's becoming an endangered species," he said before his show. "I wanted to put her in a modern context."
There is a real sense of personality and feistiness that we can see Monroe might just approve of.
